NATREF LOW-PRESSURE SOUR GAS PROJECT (SASOLBURG)
Scope:
This was an environmental compliance project to meet the air quality emission regulations, which prohibit the continuous flaring of Hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The Low-Pressure Sour Gas Project scope provided for new equipment installation to reduce H2S concentration in the existing gas streams.

NAES was appointed as the SMEIP construction contractor
CRUDE FLEX EPCM PROJECT (SALDANHA)
Scope:
Mechanical and Piping on the Crude Flex EPCM Project in Saldanha.The Crude Flex II Project entails transferring crude oil from existing OTMS tanks to the Saldanha Milnerton Pipeline (SMP), which connects the SFF terminal to Astron’s Milnerton Refinery.
This is achieved by constructing a new Crude flex pump station, a 16” above and below ground pipeline running approximately 1.3km, a Crude flex transfer station on the SFF line, installing a new Nitrogen system and making new 20” connections to the existing storage tanks.
The purpose of the Project was to give flexibility to the ASTRON refinery, enabling Crude oil to be drawn from either the SFF facility or the OTMS facility.

NATREF REFINERY AND TOTAL ENERGIES GROUP/PONTICELLI CRUDE DISTILLATION UNIT COLUMN HEAD REPLACEMENT
Scope: Full mechanical and piping execution and subcontractor management for the removal and replacement of the top dome and associated piping headers.
SASOL MECHANICAL DIVISION AUTO- THERMAL REFORMER SHUTDOWNS
Scope: Full mechanical and piping execution and subcontractor management for the auto-thermal reformer (ATR) shutdown, during 2016, 2017 and 2018.
CHEVRON REFINERY SHUTDOWN
Scope: Full welding execution and minor mechanical works for the regeneration unit shutdown.
ESKOM KOEBERG NUCLEAR POWER STATION
Scope: Full provision of welding and mechanical services for the execution of maintenance, shutdowns and small improvement projects.
ASTRON REFINERY SHUTDOWN
Scope: Full structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) works for the shutdown of the regeneration unit.
WORLEY/ASTRON REFINERY SHUTDOWN
Scope: Full structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) works for the shutdown of the regeneration unit.
SASOL REFINERY SHUTDOWNS
Scope: Full welding execution and minor mechanical works for the regeneration shutdowns required from 2014 to 2020.
WOOD GROUP PLC/PROMMAC STEAM HEADER REPLACEMENT AT SASOL STEAM STATION
Scope: Replacement of header at Sasol’s Steam Station in Sasolburg.
